Frequently Asked Questions

If you have any questions about anything here at ManMade Woods, we will try to handle the most frequently asked questions below to better assist you. If there is something on your mind that isn’t answered below, feel free to contact us and we’ll get right back to you.

How do you find the wood you use to create your products?

We only re-purpose already fallen trees that we either find on our own, or locate through landscaping companies. This way we preserve these beauties to extend their life instead of cutting down perfectly beautiful trees.

Do you mass produce these products or will mine be one of a kind?

We hand make every single product, personally working to cut, sand and polly each and every piece to be uniquely perfect for you.

How long will it typically take to get my shipment?

Like it says above, we spend a lot of personal time on your order, especially when it’s a personally customized order. So typically for easy orders it will be about a week, and for more customized orders could be 2 weeks. We know how excited you are to receive your order, so we strive to get your quality made product out quickly as possible!

What if there’s something I may want but you don’t have posted yet?

Our world class craftsman can make just about anything! If you can think of something you’d want that we don’t have featured yet, simply contact us and we’ll work to make your dream come true!

What kind of wood do you use?

As above, we use whatever trees are fallen already. We’re located in the great state of Wisconsin, so they’re from the Wisconsin woods. For cutting boards, we use hardwoods such as nut trees including oak, walnut and chestnut. For our coasters, they’re typically maple, birch, elm, ash and more. We also use pine (including real used Christmas trees for Christmas products) for soft wood products. We strive to fit the wood to the products need. If you’re looking for a specific type of wood, just let us know and we’ll work with you to achieve your goal.
